Growth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABCADEFDEF

O'ER field and plain in childhood's artless daysA
Thou sprang'st with me on many a spring morn fairB
For such a daughter with what pleasing careB
Would I as father happy dwellings raiseA
And when thou on the world didst cast thy gazeA
Thy joy was then in household toils to shareB
Why did I trust her why she trust me e'erC
For such a sister how I Heaven should praiseA
Nothing can now the beauteous growth retardD
Love's glowing flame within my breast is fann'dE
Shall I embrace her form my grief to endF
Thee as a queen must I alas regardD
So high above me placed thou seem'st to standE
Before a passing look I meekly bendF
