The authenticity of my being
Is found in the nature of myself
The nature that has been carefully shaped,
Moulded and re-shaped by the world's feature
For I am made up of all that
I have seen, heard and felt
Thoughts, words and actions
Emanating from myself and displaying by others
I am my creator, who taught me creativity at it's peak
I am my mother who showed me strictness is a principle of life
I am my father, who made me know what true responsibility is
I am my sister, who showed me how to love someone regardless of how such person is
I am my brother, for I know exactly how to defy orders and instructions
I am my teacher, patience is a virtue
I am my student, truancy is a constant
I am my friend, betrayal is inevitable
I am my enemy, hatred is suffocating
I am the pastor, the one who shows the way of life to others and may not make it to that life
I am the pregnant woman for living is a gateway for the life of others
I am the marketer, who promises heaven and earth just to sell a product
I am the man from the past, who never can live in the present so he doesn't see the future
I am the cheating husband, I lie not to hurt the ones I love
I am the aggrieved wife, I give excuses for why people hurt me
I am the counsellor, I give the best advice to people and such advice is bad for myself
I am the child in a broken marriage, I seek for reconciliation where there is none
Whether positive or negative,
The people I have met, are pieces to construct the whole of me
I am not original neither am I fake
What am I then?
I am whoever people have made me be
Who Am I?
