Rhyme Scheme: A BBCCDE BBFGFG

A
-
A house was built by SocratesB
That failed the public taste to pleaseB
Some blamed the inside some the out and allC
Agreed that the apartments were too smallC
Such rooms for him the greatest sage of GreeceD
'I ask ' said he 'no greater blissE
Than real friends to fill e'en this '-
And reason had good SocratesB
To think his house too large for theseB
A crowd to be your friends will claimF
Till some unhandsome test you bringG
There's nothing plentier than the nameF
There's nothing rarer than the thingG
