An Eagle swooped from out the skyA
And carried off a sheepB
A Raven seeing him said IA
Could do that too if I should tryA
His meal comes mighty cheapB
-
Of all that well fed flock was oneC
As fat as fat could beD
The Raven rose and lit uponE
Her back She seemed to weigh a tonC
So very fat was sheD
-
And oh Her wool was wondrous thickF
It would have made a matG
The Raven's claws are caught and stickF
He's played himself a pretty trickF
To fly with one so fatG
-
Ba ba Caw caw cry bird and beastH
The shepherd comes at lastI
Sir Raven who would find a feastH
Is from the woolly one releasedH
And in a cage kept fastI
