Thousands of words we sharedA
By remaining silentB
We both were speaking through the language of loveC
Under the cold starry tentD
-
We were not strangers to each otherE
He is known to his loyalty DogsF
And I to brutality HumansG
-
I read his eyes and judged his moodH
Either he asked for shelter or foodH
-
I offered him a piece of breadI
Surprisingly he turned his headI
-
Then what he wantedJ
Was still the questionK
Answered his eyesL
He needed love care and attentionK
-
I wanted to end his soreM
And now he is not living a lonely life moreM
-
We play eat and sleep togetherE
We pray smile and weep togetherE
He is not just a dogN
He is now my brotherE
