Thousands of words we shared,
By remaining silent,
We both were speaking through the language of love,
Under the cold-starry-tent

We were not strangers to each other
He is known to his loyalty (Dogs)
And I to brutality (Humans)

I read his eyes and judged his mood
Either he asked for shelter or food

I offered him a piece of bread
Surprisingly he turned his head

Then what he wanted
Was still the question
Answered his eyes
He needed love, care and attention

I wanted to end his sore
And now he is not living a lonely life more

We play, eat and sleep together
We pray, smile and weep together
He is not just a dog
He is now my brother
