To The Temple I Repair Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFG HHII JKLL MMNN OOII

To Thy temple I repairA
Lord I love to worship thereA
When within the veil I meetB
Christ before the mercy seatB
-
I through Him am reconciledC
I through Him become Thy childC
Abba Father give me graceD
In Thy courts to seek Thy faceD
-
While Thy glorious praise is sungE
Touch my lips unloose my tongueE
That my joyful soul may blessF
Christ the Lord my RighteousnessG
-
While the prayers of saints ascendH
God of Love to mine attendH
Hear me for Thy Spirit pleadsI
Hear for Jesus intercedesI
-
While I hearken to Thy lawJ
Fill my soul with humble aweK
Till Thy Gospel bring to meL
Life and immortalityL
-
While Thy ministers proclaimM
Peace and pardon in Thy NameM
Through their voice by faith may IN
Hear Thee speaking from the skyN
-
From Thy house when I returnO
May my heart within me burnO
And at evening let me sayI
I have walked with God todayI
