There Is A Calm For Those Who Weep, Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHIH

There is a calm for those who weepA
A rest for weary pilgrims foundB
They softly lie and sweetly sleepA
Low in the groundB
-
The storm that wrecks the winter skyC
No more disturbs their deep reposeD
Than summer evening's latest sighC
That shuts the roseD
-
A bruised reed God will not breakE
Afflictions all his children feelF
He wounds them for his mercy's sakeE
He wounds to healF
-
O traveller in the vale of tearsG
To realms of everlasting lightH
Through time's dark wilderness of yearsI
Pursue thy flightH
