Thee Will I Praise, O Lord, In Light, Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED BFBF DGDG

Thee will I praise O Lord in lightA
Where seraphim surround thy throneB
With heart and soul with mind and mightA
Thee will I worship Thee aloneB
-
Thou Lord above all height art highC
Yet with the lowly wilt Thou dwellD
The proud far off thy jealous eyesE
Shall mark and with a look repelD
-
Though in the depth of trouble thrownB
With grief I shall not always striveF
Thou wilt thy suffering servants ownB
And Thou the contrite heart reviveF
-
Thy purpose then in me fulfilD
Forsake me not for I am thineG
Perfect in me thine utmost willD
Whate'er it be that will be mineG
