Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF DDGG AABB

Servants of God in joyful laysA
Sing ye the Lord Jehovah s praiseA
His glorious Name let all adoreB
From age to age forevermoreB
-
Blest be that Name supremely blestC
From the sun s rising to its restC
Above the heav ns His pow r is knownD
Through all the earth His goodness shownD
-
Who is like God so great so highE
He bows Himself to view the skyE
And yet with condescending graceF
Looks down upon the human raceF
-
He hears the uncomplaining moanD
Of those who sit and weep aloneD
He lifts the mourner from the dustG
In Him the poor may safely trustG
-
O then aloud in joyful laysA
Sing to the Lord Jehovah s praiseA
His saving Name let all adoreB
From age to age forevermoreB
