To The Grasshopper And The Cricket Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCECE

Green little vaulter in the sunny grassA
Catching your heart up at the feel of JuneB
Sole voice that's heard amidst the lazy noonB
When ev'n the bees lag at the summoning brassA
And you warm little housekeeper who classA
With those who think the candles come too soonB
Loving the fire and with your tricksome tuneB
Nick the glad silent moments as they passA
Oh sweet and tiny cousins that belongC
One to the fields the other to the hearthD
Both have your sunshine both though small are strongC
At your clear hearts and both were sent on earthE
To sing in thoughtful ears this natural songC
In doors and out summer and winter MirthE
