On Receiving A Crown Of Ivy From John Keats Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAABCA DEFDGG

It is a lofty feeling yet a kindA
Thus to be topped with leaves to have a senseB
Of honour shaded thought an influenceC
As from great nature's fingers and be twinedA
With her old sacred verdurous ivy bindA
As though she hallowed with that sylvan fenceB
A head that bows to her benevolenceC
Midst pomp of fancied trumpets in the windA
-
It is what's within us crowned And kind and greatD
Are all the conquering wishes it inspiresE
Love of things lasting love of the tall woodsF
Love of love's self and ardour for a stateD
Of natural good befitting such desiresG
Towns without gain and hunted solitudesG
