Prayer (ii) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA BAC ABA

Let me not know how sins and sorrows glideA
Along the sombre city of our rageB
Or why the sons of men are heavy eyedA
-
Let me not know except from printed pageB
The pain of litter love of baffled prideA
Or sickness shadowing with a long presageC
-
Let me not know since happy some have diedA
Quickly in youth or quietly in ageB
How faint how loud the bravest hearts have criedA
