The Twinses.[1] Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEFFEGHHG

Two little children toddled up to meA
Their faces fair as faces well could beA
Roses and snow but pale the roses wereB
Like flowers fainting for the lack of airC
Sad was the tender study which I gaveD
The winning creatures both so sweet and graveD
Two beautiful young Saxons scarce knee highE
As like as peas Two Lilliputian menF
Immortal ere they knew it by the penF
Which waketh laughter or bedews the eyeE
God bless you little people May His handG
Hold you within its hollow all your daysH
Smooth all the rugged places and your waysH
Make long and pleasant in a fruitful landG
