Dreamers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAC DEEFFGGHH

Fools laugh at dreamers and the dreamers smileA
In answer if they any answer makeB
They know that Saxon Alfred could not bakeB
The oaten cakes but that he snatched his IsleA
Back from the fierce and bloody handed DaneC
-
And so they leave the plodders to their gainsD
Quit money changing for the student's lampE
And tune the harp to gain thereby some campE
Where what they learn is worth a kingdom's crownF
They fashion bows and arrows to bring downF
The mighty truths which sail the upper airG
To them the facts which make the fools despairG
Become familiar and a thousand thingsH
Tell them the secrets they refuse to kingsH
