The pride o' Lea as naighbours thought herB
While the zun wi' evenen beamsA
Did cast our sheades athirt the waterB
Winds a blowenC
Streams a flowenC
Skies a glowenC
Tokens ov my jay zoo fleetenC
Heightened it that happy meetenC

Then when maid an' man took pleacesA
Gay in winter's Chris'mas dancesA
Showen in their merry feacesA
Kindly smiles an' glisnen glancesA
Stars a winkenC
Day a shrinkenC
Sheades a zinkenC
Brought anew the happy meetenC
That did meake the night too fleetenC
