Shattered Art Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DDED BDFD GBHB

I cherish the timesA
When broken things look beautifulB
Rare are theyC
But beauteous can be the pitifulB
-
A hand to hold no longer thereD
A weeping heart lost to its pairD
They cry in silent voicesE
As the light begins to blareD
-
Shards of glass are miserableB
Next to jeweled wareD
But they may be shimmering crystalsF
To those wallowing in despairD
-
Tears are like a raging riverG
Gushing to the sound of the woefulB
Painting a picture of broken thingsH
Entitled Beautifully pitifulB

Poet's note: This piece was written on April 3, 2021. It is inspired by a story I was reading the same night. It speaks about the countless experiences that people go through that are sometimes very much pleasing to the eye (no matter how twisted it may seem).
