Tiny avian friend,
Let your wings spread,
Beat your feathers,
Up and down,
Soar to no end.
But, come home,
From time to time.
My big heart,
To you I lend.
Your gorgeous coat
Of piercing blue,
And comely gold beak,
Majestically blend,
With your crown of green,
Of emerald sheen,
Into the image
Of a friend.
I let you go.
Still, you are
My confidant,
Upright and unbent.
With your wings,
Fly back to here
And finally
See me again.
