Tides Of Passage Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD DEFGHI JBKD LBMNOOPQ

So much water has passed under the bridgeA
With it a part of meB
Her soul drifted with the tidesC
Now in conclave with my fatherD
-
Tales of ancestors are now sweeterD
Rites of passage with a touch of your handsE
Not one that ashed immigrants denigratedF
Morning yet on creation dayG
Achebe's rebuttalH
Of their vague distortion of our pastI
-
My prayer with you in mindJ
More potent than beckoning their ancestryB
Whose hands we never shookK
Or knew our pains or our laughterD
-
Well as for us hereL
We are in passage of purgatoryB
Certain of a better afterlifeM
Case of granite covering a tombstoneN
Of mortals overlooking itO
And flowers and greenery around itO
Of tides and streams beyondP

Poet's note: The mind of a poet pondering over personal losses, of ephemeral of life, beliefs no matter how superior or better. I believe that my sister's transition to eternity is one which will be good tidings. In all, our time will come when we play our part and move on.
