Sonnet 27 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABACACDEDEFF

Lighten my burden release my heart untie meA
You draw pleasure in forsaking my fleshy heartB
Because you know that I love only theeA
And I wouldn't desire from you to partB
Am I not the same person you once loved dearlyA
If I am Why do you hurt me feeding me sorrowC
Or is it because am no longer wealth I survive barelyA
Love me again give me strength to face tomorrowC
The society mocks us and their love stir despairD
You too have joined them to despise and lamentE
My hope hangs on a loss rope thy love impairD
For how long will I tolerant your abuse and ill contentE
Am distort by my feeling her treachery deformsF
Am lamed with her betrayal her love conformsF

Poet's note: A wrote this poem, two years ago after feeling betrayed and mistreated by my lover. The poem is a reminder of how people easily change when situations no longer suits them.
