The Son of the living GOD and the sacredA
Virgin MaryB
-
I-
MY God Thou that didst die for meB
These Thy death's fruits I offer TheeB
Death that to me was life and lightC
But dark and deep pangs to Thy sightC
Some drops of Thy all quick'ning bloodA
Fell on my heart those made it budA
And put forth thus though Lord beforeD
The ground was curs'd and void of storeD
Indeed I had some here to hireE
Which long resisted Thy desireE
That ston'd Thy servants and did moveF
To have Thee murder'd for Thy loveG
But Lord I have expell'd them and so bentH
Beg Thou wouldst take Thy tenant's rentH
-
II-
Dear Lord 'tis finished and now heB
That copied it presents it TheeB
'Twas thine first and to Thee returnsI
From Thee it shin'd though here it burnsI
If the Sun rise on rocks is't rightC
To call it their inherent lightC
No nor can I say this is mineJ
For dearest Jesus 'tis all ThineJ
As Thy clothes when Thou with clothes wert cladK
Both light from Thee and virtue hadK
And now as then within this placeL
Thou to poor rags dost still give graceL
This is the earnest Thy love shedsM
The candle shining on some headsM
Till at Thy charges they shall beB
Cloth'd all with immortalityB
-
III-
My dear Redeemer the world's lightC
And life too and my heart's delightC
For all Thy mercies and Thy truthN
Show'd to me in my sinful youthN
For my sad failings and my wildO
Murmurings at Thee when most mildO
For all my secret faults and eachP
Frequent relapse and wilful breachP
For all designs meant against TheeB
And ev'ry publish'd vanityB
Which Thou divinely hast forgivenQ
While Thy blood wash'd me white as heavenQ
I nothing have to give to TheeB
But this Thy own gift given to meB
Refuse it not for now Thy tokenQ
Can tell Thee where a heart is brokenQ
-
-
-
REVEL CAP I VERE
-
-
-
Unto him that loved us and washed us from ourE
sins in His own bloodA
And hath made us kings and priests unto God andR
His Father to Him be glory and dominion for everE
and ever AmenS
Behold He cometh with clouds and every eye shallT
see Him and they also which pierced Him and allU
kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him evenV
so AmenS
