Quickness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HIHJ KLKL

False life a foil and no more whenA
Wilt thou be goneB
Thou foul deception of all menA
That would not have the true come onC
-
Thou art a moon like toil a blindD
Self posing stateE
A dark contest of waves and windD
A mere tempestuous debateE
-
Life is a fixed discerning lightF
A knowing joyG
No chance or fit but ever brightF
And calm and full yet doth not cloyG
-
'Tis such a blissful thing that stillH
Doth vivifyI
And shine and smile and hath the skillH
To please without eternityJ
-
Thou art a toilsome mole or lessK
A moving mistL
But life is what none can expressK
A quickness which my God hath kissedL
