Corruption Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGHIJIK ILILMNMNOPOLQRSTUTU

Sure it was so Man in those early daysA
Was not all stone and earthB
He shined a little and by those weak raysA
Had some glimpse of his birthB
He saw Heaven o'er his head and knew from whenceC
He came condemned hitherD
And as first love draws strongest so from henceC
His mind sure progressed thitherD
Things here were strange unto him sweat and tillE
All was a thorn or weedF
Nor did those last but like himself died stillE
As soon as they did seedF
They seemed to quarrel with him for that actG
That felled him foiled them allH
He drew the curse upon the world and crackedG
The whole frame with his fallH
This made him long for home as loth to stayI
With murmurers and foesJ
He sighed for Eden and would often sayI
'Ah what bright days were those 'K
Nor was Heaven cold unto him for each dayI
The valley or the mountainL
Afforded visits and still paradise layI
In some green shade or fountainL
Angels lay lieger here each bush and cellM
Each oak and highway knew themN
Walk but the fields or sit down at some wellM
And he was sure to view themN
Almighty Love where art Thou now Mad manO
Sits down and freezeth onP
HE raves and swears to stir nor fire nor fanO
But bids the thread be spunL
I see Thy curtains are close drawn Thy bowQ
Sin triumphs still and man is sunk belowR
The center and his shroudS
All's in deep sleep and night thick darkness liesT
And hatcheth o'er Thy peopleU
But hark what trumpet's that what angel criesT
'Arise thrust in Thy sickle'U
