Second Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK MNEN

Could I reveal the secret joyA
Thy presence always with it bringsB
The memories so strangely wakedC
Of long forgotten thingsB
-
The love the hope the fear the griefD
Which with that voice come back to meE
Thou wouldst forgive the impassioned gazeF
So often turned on theeE
-
It was indeed that early loveG
But foretaste of this second oneH
The soft light of the morning starI
Before the morning sunH
-
The same dark beauty in her eyesJ
The same blonde hair and placid browK
The same deep meaning quiet smileL
Thou bendest on me nowK
-
She might have been she WAS no moreM
Than what a prescient hope could makeN
A dear presentiment of theeE
I loved but for thy sakeN
