Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDEFFGGHHIIJJKKShe came with April blooms and showers | A |
We count her little life by flowers | A |
As buds the rose upon her cheek | B |
We choose a flower for every week | B |
A week of hyacinths we say | C |
And one of heart's ease ushered May | C |
And then because two wishes met | D |
Upon the rose and violet | E |
I liked the Beauty Kate the Nun | F |
The violet and the rose count one | F |
A week the apple marked with white | G |
A week the lily scored in light | G |
Red poppies closed May's happy moon | H |
And tulips this blue week in June | H |
Here end as yet the flowery links | I |
To day begins the week of pinks | I |
But soon so grave and deep and wise | J |
The meaning grows in Baby's eyes | J |
So VERY deep for Baby's age | K |
We think to date a week with sage | K |
