What have they been doing | D |
In the burning June | E |
Riding with the genii | E |
Visiting the moon | E |
Or sleeping on the ice amid an arctic noon | E |

Bring they with them jewels | F |
From the sunset lands | G |
What are these they scatter | H |
With such lavish hands | G |
There are no brighter gems in Raolconda's sands | G |
- | |
Pattering on the gravel | I |
Dropping from the eaves | J |
Glancing in the grass and | K |
Tinkling on the leaves | J |
They flash the liquid pearls as flung from fairy sieves | L |

Meanwhile unreluctant | K |
Earth like Danae lies | M |
Listen is it fancy | N |

Jove it is descendeth | O |
In those crystal rills | M |
And this world wide tremor | H |
Is a pulse that thrills | M |
To a god's life infused through veins of velvet hills | M |
- | |
Wait thou jealous sunshine | E |
Break not on their bliss | M |
Earth will blush in roses | M |
Many a day for this | M |
And bend a brighter brow beneath thy burning kiss | M |
