A Common Thought Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHBH IJBJ

Somewhere on this earthly planetA
In the dust of flowers to beB
In the dewdrop in the sunshineC
Sleeps a solemn day for meB
-
At this wakeful hour of midnightD
I behold it dawn in mistE
And I hear a sound of sobbingF
Through the darkness hist oh histE
-
In a dim and murky chamberG
I am breathing life awayH
Some one draws a curtain softlyB
And I watch the broadening dayH
-
As it purples in the zenithI
As it brightens on the lawnJ
There's a hush of death about meB
And a whisper He is goneJ
