| I know as little what discharge to make | A |
| The favour is so great that it out goes | B |
| All forms of thankfulness I can propose | B |
| Those grateful levies which my pen would raise | C |
| Are stricken dumb or bury'd in amaze | C |
| Therefore as once in Athens there was shown | D |
| An Altar built unto the God unknown | D |
| My ignorant devotions must by guess | E |
| This blind return of gratitude address | E |
| Till You vouchsafe to shew me where and how | F |
| I may to this revealed Goddess bow | F |
