To - - Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIHI JKJK LMLM NOPQ RSRS TUTU

AH often do I wait and watchA
And look up straining through the RealB
With longing eyes my friend to catchC
Faint glimpses of your white IdealB
-
I know she loved to rest her feetD
By slumbrous seas and hidden strandE
But mostly hints of her I meetD
On moony spots of mountain landE
-
I ve never reached her shining placeF
And only cross at times a gleamG
As one might pass a fleeting faceF
Just on the outside of a DreamG
-
But you may climb her happy ChoiceH
She knows your step the maiden trueI
And ever when she hears your voiceH
She turns and sits and waits for youI
-
How sweet to rest on breezy crestJ
With such a Love what time the MornK
Looks from his halls of rosy restJ
Across green miles of gleaming cornK
-
How sweet to find a leafy nookL
When bees are out and Day burns muteM
Where you may hear a passion d brookL
Play past you like a mellow fluteM
-
Or turning from the sunken sunN
On fields of dim delight to lieO
To close your eyes and muse uponP
The twilight s strange divinityQ
-
Or through the Night s mysterious noonR
While Sound lies hushed among the treesS
To sit and watch a mirror d moonR
Float over silver sleeping seasS
-
Oh vain regret why should I stayT
To think and dream of joys unknownU
You walk with her from day to dayT
I faint afar off and aloneU
