Outre Mer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFEGHIH JKBKCLMLNOPO CQAQRSISTUPU

I see as one in dreamingA
nbsp nbsp nbsp A broad bright quiet seaB
Beyond it lies a havenC
nbsp nbsp nbsp The only home for meB
Some men grow strong with troubleD
nbsp nbsp nbsp But all my strength is pastE
And tired and full of sorrowF
nbsp nbsp nbsp I long to sleep at lastE
By force of chance and changesG
nbsp nbsp nbsp Man's life is hard at bestH
And seeing rest is voicelessI
nbsp nbsp nbsp The dearest thing is restH
-
Beyond the sea behold itJ
nbsp nbsp nbsp The home I wish to seekK
The refuge of the wearyB
nbsp nbsp nbsp The solace of the weakK
Sweet angel fingers beckonC
nbsp nbsp nbsp Sweet angel voices askL
My soul to cross the watersM
nbsp nbsp nbsp And yet I dread the taskL
God help the man whose trialsN
nbsp nbsp nbsp Are tares that he must reapO
He cannot face the futureP
nbsp nbsp nbsp His only hope is sleepO
-
Across the main a visionC
nbsp nbsp nbsp Of sunset coasts and skiesQ
And widths of waters gleamingA
nbsp nbsp nbsp Enchant my human eyesQ
I who have sinned and sufferedR
nbsp nbsp nbsp Have sought with tears have soughtS
To rule my life with goodnessI
nbsp nbsp nbsp And shape it to my thoughtS
And yet there is no refugeT
nbsp nbsp nbsp To shield me from distressU
Except the realm of slumberP
nbsp nbsp nbsp And great forgetfulnessU
