Some few fantastic shadows haste | B |
Uplit with fires | C |
Like castle spires | D |
Outshining through a mirage waste | B |
Behold a mournful glory sits | E |
On feathered ferns and woven brakes | F |
Where sobbing wild like restless child | G |
The gusty breeze of evening wakes | F |
Methinks I hear on every breath | H |
A lofty tone go passing by | I |
That whispers Weave | J |
Though wood winds grieve | J |
The fadeless blooms of Poesy | F |
- | |
A spirit hand has been abroad | K |
An evil hand to pluck the flowers | F |
A world of wealth | L |
And blooming health | L |
Has gone from fragrant seaside bowers | F |
The twilight waxeth dim and dark | M |
The sad waves mutter sounds of woe | N |
But the evergreen retains its sheen | O |
And happy hearts exist below | N |
But pleasure sparkles on the sward | P |
And voices utter words of bliss | F |
And while my bride | Q |
Sits by my side | Q |
Oh where's the scene surpassing this | F |
- | |
Kiama slumbers robed with mist | R |
All glittering in the dewy light | S |
That brooding o'er | A |
The shingly shore | A |
Lies resting in the arms of Night | S |
And foam flecked crags with surges chill | T |
And rocks embraced of cold lipped spray | A |
Are moaning loud where billows crowd | U |
In angry numbers up the bay | A |
The holy stars come looking down | V |
On windy heights and swarthy strand | W |
And Life and Love | X |
The cliffs above | X |
Are sitting fondly hand in hand | W |
- | |
I hear a music inwardly | Y |
That floods my soul with thoughts of joy | Z |
Within my heart | A2 |
Emotions start | A2 |
That Time may still but ne'er destroy | Z |
An ancient Spring revives itself | B2 |
And days which made the past divine | C2 |
And rich warm gleams from golden dreams | F |
All glorious in their summer shine | C2 |
And songs of half forgotten hours | F |
And many a sweet melodious strain | D2 |
Which still shall rise | F |
Beneath the skies | F |
When all things else have died again | E2 |
- | |
A white sail glimmers out at sea | Y |
A vessel walking in her sleep | F2 |
Some Power goes past | G2 |
That bends the mast | G2 |
While frighted waves to leeward leap | F2 |
The moonshine veils the naked sand | W |
And ripples upward with the tide | Q |
As underground there rolls a sound | H2 |
From where the caverned waters glide | Q |
A face that bears affection's glow | N |
The soul that speaks from gentle eyes | F |
And joy which slips | F |
From loving lips | F |
Have made this spot my Paradise | F |
