In The Depths Of A Forest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEF

In the depths of a Forest secluded and wildA
The night voices whisper in passionate numbersB
And I m leaning again as I did when a childA
O er the grave where my father so quietly slumbersB
The years have rolled by with a thundering soundC
But I knew O ye woodlands affection would know itD
And the spot which I stand on is sanctified groundC
By the love that I bear to him sleeping below itD
-
Oh well may the winds with a saddening moanE
Go fitfully over the branches so drearyF
And well may I kneel by the time shattered stoneE
And rejoice that a rest has been found for the wearyF
