A Day Of Dream Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEE

On that bold hill against a broad blue streamA
stood Arthur Phillip on a day of dreamA
what time the mists of morning westward rolledB
and heaven flowered on a bay of goldB
Here in the hour that shines and sounds afarC
flamed first Old England's banner like a starC
Here in a time august with prayer and praiseD
was born the nation of these splendid daysD
and here this land's majestic yesterdayE
of immemorial silence died awayE
