The Frailty And Hurtfulness Of Beauty Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABABABABABBB

Brittle beauty that nature made so frailA
Whereof the gift is small and short the seasonB
Flow'ring today tomorrow apt to failA
Tickle treasure abhorr d of reasonB
Dangerous to deal with vain of none availA
Costly in keeping past not worth two peasonB
Slipper in sliding as is an eel s tailA
Hard to obtain once gotten not geasonB
Jewel of jeopardy that peril doth assailA
False and untrue entic d oft to treasonB
Enemy to youth that most may I bewailA
Ah bitter sweet infecting as the poisonB
Thou farest as fruit that with the frost is takenB
Today ready ripe tomorrow all to shakenB
