Set Me Whereas The Sun Doth Parch The Green Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGFHII

Set me whereas the sun doth parch the greenA
Or where his beams do not dissolve the iceB
In temperate heat where he is felt and seenA
In presence prest of people mad or wiseC
Set me in high or yet in low degreeD
In longest night or in the shortest dayE
In clearest sky or where clouds thickest beD
In lusty youth or when my hairs are grayE
Set me in heaven in earth or else in hellF
In hill or dale or in the foaming floodG
Thrall or at large alive whereso I dwellF
Sick or in health in evil fame or goodH
Hers will I be and only with this thoughtI
Content myself although my chance be noughtI
