Love That Doth Reign And Live Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFCFCGH

Love that doth reign and live within my thoughtA
And built his seat within my captive breastB
Clad in the arms wherein with me he foughtA
Oft in my face he doth his banner restB
But she that taught me love and suffer painC
My doubtful hope and eke my hot desireD
With shamefast look to shadow and refrainC
Her smiling grace converteth straight to ireE
And coward Love then to the heart apaceF
Taketh his flight where he doth lurk and plainC
His purpose lost and dare not show his faceF
For my lord's guilt thus faultless bide I painC
Yet from my lord shall not my foot removeG
Sweet is the death that taketh end by loveH
