To The Survivors Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BB CC DD EF GG

NOW they sing the hero loudA
But they sing him in his shroudA
-
Torch he kindled for his landB
On his brow ye set its brandB
-
Taught by him to wield a glaiveC
Through his heart the steel ye draveC
-
Trolls he smote in hard fought fieldsD
Ye bore him down 'twixt traitor shieldsD
-
But the shining spoils he wonE
These ye treasure as your ownF
-
Dim them not that so the deadG
Rest appeased his thorn crowned headG
