The vanished hours of life's enchanting spring | B |
Short calendar of joys for ever fled | A |
Thou bid'st the scenes of childhood rise to view | C |
The wild wood path which fancy loves to trace | D |
Where veil'd in leaves thy fruit of rosy hue | C |
Lurk'd on its pliant stem with modest grace | D |
But ah when thought would later years renew | C |
Alas successive sorrows crowd the space | D |
