Sonnet To Peace Of Mind Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

Sweet Peace ah lead me from the thorny daleA
Where desolate my wand'ring steps have fledB
Far from the sunny paths which others treadB
While youth enlivens and while joys prevailA
Then I no more shall vanished hopes bewailA
No more the fruitless tear shall love to shedB
When pensive eve her cherish'd gloom has spreadB
And day's bright tints like my short pleasures failA
Yet lead me not where blooms the glowing roseC
But lead me where the cypress branches waveD
Thou hast a shelt'ring cell for cureless woesC
A home of refuge where no tempests raveD
There would my weary heart in youth reposeC
Beneath the turf that shrouds an early graveD
