Lines To Helen Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCC DDEE FFGH

A NEW BORN INFANTA
-
-
She lives that first pulsation of the heartB
Is life receive dear babe thy destin'd partB
Yet frail thy being as the op'ning roseC
When chill the rude wind blowsC
-
But ah be like the blossom of the valeD
Lov'd infant shelter'd from the mountain galeD
On whose meek head descend no ruffling showersE
Who lives the span of flowersE
-
And far from thee may sorrow's tempest bendF
Nor ever wasting pangs the bosom rendF
Calm be thy day of life and o'er its bloomG
May evening mildly comeH
