Lasting Fame. Iii-30 (from The Odes Of Horace) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFGAHBAHHG

A monument outlasting brass I have buildedA
Higher than pyramids in their crumbling gloryB
That no devouring storm nor futile North windA
Can overthrow nor years in long successionC
Nor fleeting seasons I shall not wholly perishD
In great part I'll escape the funeral pyreE
And lately praised my praise will go on growingF
To latest years As long as Priest and VestalG
Ascend the Capitol I shall be mentionedA
Where Aufidus fierce rages and where DaunusH
A rustic race rules in an arid countryB
Great though of humble birth I the first poetA
To write in Latin rhythms olian lyricsH
Take pride Melpomene in well earned meritsH
And crown me willingly with Delphic laurelG
