Zorah Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACBBBCB| An Arab beats upon a kettle drum | A |
| And tuneless is the wailing of the flutes | B |
| As on the sands a slavegirl executes | B |
| Her dance of wantonwild delirium | A |
| Her body swaying like a pendulum | A |
| Backwards and forwards while in evolutes | B |
| She weaves and weaves before fierce pagan brutes | B |
| Who gaze at her in wonder that is dumb | A |
| I look upon her limbs bronzed by the sun | C |
| And see within her eyes strange caravans | B |
| Marching all day across blank desert lands | B |
| Until they come at night to where in rings | B |
| The Nomad fires glimmer one by one | C |
| around the tombs of longforgotten kings | B |
