Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

Earth bears her sorrow gladly like a nunA
Her young face glowing through the icy veilB
The storms that threaten her the winds that railB
Kindle a deeper color She has wonA
Graces that please the high enthron d sunA
Across her soft white robes that drift and trailB
He casts his lordly purples lest she quailB
With the dead year and think that all is doneA
She leadeth on through desolate sad daysC
A smile upon her lips a triumph songD
Shut in her heart Be glad so singeth sheE
Glad of the solitude the silent waysC
Even of the pain so shall thy soul grow strongD
For the brave spring that comes to set us freeE
