Myself Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGH IJIK LLLL CKMK

What am I I am Earth the motherA
With all her nebulous memoriesB
And the young Day and Night her brotherA
And every god that was and isC
-
As Eve I walked in paradiseD
Dreaming of nations braving deathE
For knowledge nor begrudged the priceD
When the first baby first drew breathE
-
I sang Deborah's triumph songF
I struck the foe with Judith's swordG
'Twas I who to the angel saidH
'Behold the handmaid of the Lord '-
-
I was fair Helen she for whomI
A nation was content to dieJ
And Cleopatra in whose doomI
The world went down with AntonyK
-
I am the harlot in the streetL
And the veiled nun all undefiledL
In me must queen and beggar meetL
Wise age hark to the little childL
-
I am the life that ever isC
And the new glory that shall beK
The pain that dies and the brave blissM
That mounts to immortalityK
