A Portrait Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CBCC DCDC EFEF

The little world span round and roundA
Singing along her sunny waysB
And all the glory she unwoundA
She gave to him for joy and praiseB
-
And he whom lavish morning metC
With new blown flowers and minstrelsyB
Looked on the gift through eyelids wetC
For sorrow of satietyC
-
And he whom noon put to the proofD
With trumpet call and weapon blessedC
Fought the brave fight with soul aloofD
Harkening for some remote behestC
-
Not homeward could the winged feet fareE
The lyric laughter choked a sighF
A wanderer from he knew not whereE
Dreamer of dreams he knew not whyF
