Thistledown Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBB DEDFG HHGIJ KLLMM NONPQQ

This might have been a place for sleepA
But as from that small hollow thereB
Hosts of bright thistledown beginC
Their dazzling journey through the airB
An idle man can only stareB
-
They grip their withered edge of stalkD
In brief excitement for the windE
They hold a breathless final talkD
And when their filmy cables partF
One almost hears a little cryG
-
Some cling together while they waitH
And droop and gaze and hesitateH
But others leap along the skyG
Or circle round and calmly chooseI
The gust they know they ought to useJ
-
While some in loving pairs will glideK
Or watch the others as they passL
Or rest on flowers in the grassL
Or circle through the shining dayM
Like silvery butterflies at playM
-
Some catch themselves to every moundN
Then lingeringly and slowly moveO
As if they knew the precious groundN
Were opening for their fertile loveP
They almost try to dig they needQ
So much to plant their thistle seedQ
