Heloise Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FEGE

I saw a light on yester nightA
A low light on the misty leaB
The stars were dim and silence grimC
Sat brooding on the sullen seaB
-
From out the silence came a voiceD
A voice that thrilled me through and throughE
And said Alas is this your choiceD
For he is false and I was trueE
-
And in my ears the passing yearsF
Will sadly whisper words of rueE
Forget and yet can I forgetG
That one was false and one was trueE
