Licia Sonnets 47 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGHGII

Like Memnon's rock touched with the rising sunA
Which yields a sound and echoes forth a voiceB
But when it's drowned in western seas is doneA
And drowsy like leaves off to make a noiseC
So I my love enlightened with your shineD
A poet's skill within my soul I shroudE
Not rude like that which finer wits declineD
But such as Muses to the best allowedE
But when your figure and your shape is goneF
I speechless am like as I was beforeG
Or if I write my verse is filled with moanH
And blurred with tears by falling in such storeG
Then muse not Licia if my Muse be slackI
For when I wrote I did thy beauty lackI
