Licia Sonnets 36 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDFGFGHH

Hear how my sighs are echoed of the windA
See how my tears are pitied by the rainB
Feel what a flame possess d hath my mindA
Taste but the grief which I possess in vainB
Then if my sighs the blustering winds surpassC
And wat'ry tears the drops of rain exceedD
And if no flame like mine nor is nor wasE
Nor grief like that whereon my soul doth feedD
Relent fair Licia when my sighs do blowF
Yield at my tears that flintlike drops consumeG
Accept the flame that doth my incense showF
Allow the grief that is my heart's perfumeG
Thus sighs and tears flame grief shall plead for meH
So shall I pray and you a goddess beH
