Licia Sonnets 14 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGH

My love lay sleeping where birds music madeA
Shutting her eyes disdainful of the lightB
The heat was great but greater was the shadeA
Which her defended from his burning sightB
This Cupid saw and came a kiss to takeC
Sucking sweet nectar from her sugared breathD
She felt the touch and blushed and did awakeC
Seeing t'was love which she did think was deathD
She cut his wings and caused him to stayE
Making a vow he should not thence departF
Unless to her the wanton boy could payE
The truest kindest and most loving heartF
His feathers still she us d for a fanG
Till by exchange my heart his feathers wonH
